Lucas Black

Lucas Black has been in the industry for close to 10 years. DJing out of a passion for discovering new and uncovered sounds, people quickly responded to his ear for fantastic music.

Lucas is a core member of Respect Music's management. He is an integral part of the Respect Music Radio team. He is the head programmer and announces on the weekly show, which is broadcast across Australia, and the world.

He is also the host of Farplane Radio, and is A & R for record label Farplane Record, owned by Swedish House music DJ/Producer Rasmus Faber. Lucas has recently returned from playing in Japan where he supported Rasmus Faber on his 'So Far 3' Album Release tour. He's also recently performed at the famous 360 Bar in Dubai.

Lucas plays regularly on the Australian scene and has held residencies at many of Queensland's premiere venues. He has played alongside respected artists such as Rasmus Faber, Miguel Migs, Audiowhores, Freq Nasty, Mo’ Horizons, The Bamboos, Random Soul, Fdel and many more.

He is now venturing into the world of production and aims to release tracks on Respect Music Records in the near future.

His diversity, knowledge and enormous music catalogue allows him to play a range of styles, beats and venues. Anything from House, Nu jazz and Broken Beat to Funk, Soul, Latin & Lounge.
